Psalm

Ps. 118:14-18 (together)

The Lord is my strength and my might;

    he has become my salvation.

15

There are glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous:

‘The right hand of the Lord does valiantly;

16

    the right hand of the Lord is exalted;

    the right hand of the Lord does valiantly.’

17

I shall not die, but I shall live,

    and recount the deeds of the Lord.

18

The Lord has punished me severely,

    but he did not give me over to death.

Gradual hymn

Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.

Gospel

And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, “He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.” This is my message for you.’ So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, ‘Greetings!’ And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.’

-Mt. 28:2-10

Sermon

Silence

Creed

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, 3 for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

-Col. 3:1-4

Lord’s Prayer

Eucharistic prayer-Words of Institution and communion

Send now your holy spirit

On these holy gifts,

And into our hearts,

That we may receive our Lord

With a living faith

As he comes to us

In his holy meal.

In the night

In which he was betrayed

Our Lord Jesus took bread,

Gave thanks;

Broke it,

And gave it to his disciples,

Saying:

Take and eat;

This is my body, given for you.

Do this in remembrance of me. (We eat the bread together)

Again, after supper,

He took the cup,

Gave thanks,

And gave it to his disciples,

Saying:

Take and drink;

This is the new covenant in my blood,

Given for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin.

Do this in remembrance of me. (We drink the wine together)
